Something out of the ordinary I do is not using customer service agreements.
I have found that by practicing good customer service, I haven't really
needed a service contract.
When I started, 18 years ago, I had no idea I was even "supposed" to have a
service agreement. When something came up, I just tried to do the right
thing. I think this approach has helped me to create my own approach and
policies instead of copying someone else's and instituting arbitrary rules
and regulations just because someone thought I should have them.
In some ways, service agreements create an adversarial relationship, which
is counter to my entire concept of customer service. I believe in the
Golden Rule, I try to treat my clients the way I would like to be treated
and their pets the way I would like my pets to be treated. |
